Welcome to Quarry Futures!
The focus of this website is the future for land in Bernards Township now known as Millington Quarry.
Most discussion since 2003 has dealt with the rehabilitation of the land for a use or uses permitted by township land use regulations in the R-3 residential zone. Quarrying operations are essentially finished. It is time to move beyond plans for rehabilitation and consider the use of the land over the long term.
This website is new. For several years the website Bernards Voices had a section that dealt with quarry issues. That site was corrupted when the server for the site was hacked. My plan is to put new documents and comments on this site as they are generated and to restore the old documents as they are needed. The site is very much a work in progress at this time.
Posting dates for old documents are usually the dates the documents were first made public, not the dates they were posted on this site.
